Facebook is Down – Users Reporting Global Blackout of Social Media Giant

Thousands of Facebook users around different part of the world are reporting that the site Facebook is down since 12:20 p.m. (New York, GMT -4). Down detecting tools are also reporting the same. People are now turning to Twitter to report that the social media platform is down.
Moreover, due to the huge influx of Facebook users on downdetector it also taking time normal than usual to respond.
Users are reporting that their News Feed page is either not loading for them or that they are getting a “something went wrong” page.
The hashtag #FacebookDown also appears to be gathering momentum on Twitter.
Facebook is a social network where members share messages and status updates with online friends. The network also offers a platform for third party developers.
One person tweeted: “My Facebook isn’t working, so the first thing I did was go to Twitter to confirm that, yup, FacebookIsDown!”
