The First Ever Blockchain Smartphone by HTC is Available for Preorder

After a long hype, HTC finally revealed specifications of the most awaited Blockchain based smartphone. This first-ever Blockchain smartphone “Exodus 1” is now available for preorders.
This smartphone contains a separate wallet, apart from the Android OS with zero connection with it.
You can use this wallet to secure your keys for cryptocurrencies and multiple crypto tokens.
The first announcement regarding this HTC Blockchain model was back in May, which is considering as one of the primary projects since the company does not get the success as compared to the main player of the market.
According to HTC official “Phil Chen” Exodus phone would act as a node to facilitate bitcoin trading among users. He also stated that the phone would allow you to “own your own identity.”
This “Exodus 1” smartphone offers a separate space for added security by keeping cryptocurrency exchange away from the Android OS.
Moreover, HTC will also offer social key recovery technology to save your confidential data in case you lost the phone.
With the help of new social key recovery technology, you have the chance to keep the details with your family members and friends, who must then downloaded the key management app. In this way, in case of any lost incident happen, HTC by using secret algorithms to send the info to your family members and friends.
The phone is also being opened up for third-party developers to make their key apps and wallets.
The Exodus 1 has a 6-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. There are 16-megapixel dual rear cameras and 8-megapixel dual selfie cameras with a bokeh effect, and it is capable of recording full 4K video at 60 FPS.
The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery. It runs Android Oreo and is dust- and water-resistant with a rating of IP68.
The price tag of this upcoming Blockchain smartphone will be around 4.78ETH and 0.15BTC that is equal to $960. Moreover, those who are planning to preorder by paying through debit or credit cards, the bad news is they can’t. They have to pay for it in cryptocurrency.
The expected date is December. The phone will be available in 34 countries and regions, including the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, the UK, Austria, Norway, and other parts of Europe. Notably, it won’t be available in China, which lines up with what Chen said to me in July, explaining that “China has different rules” and bans cryptocurrency trading.
